For Tonic Scale; Point Key to Note and Read DO,RE,MI, etc…

ie.  A  B,C#,D,E,F#,G#,A  or   G  A,B,C,D,E,F#,G

 

For Arrangement; Point Key to Chord and Read I,IV,V & VII  

ie.  Key of A => A,D,E & G  Key of G => G,C,D & F

 

For Major Chords; Point Key to Root and Read (1)(3)(5)

ie.    A => A,C#,E     C = > C,E,G    G => G,B,D

 

For Minor Chords; Point Key to Root and Read (1)(m)(5)

Ie.    A => A,C,E    C => C,D#,G    G => G,A#,D

 

Shows 7th, Augmented and Diminished Chords in same manner.

To assemble Chord Calculator;

 

1)      Cut sheet in half and affix left (other) side to board.

2)      Cut out Chord Wheel on right (this) side.

3)      Put Stick Pin in centre of Chord Wheel and pin to board.

4)      Follow Instructions to Calculate Chords and Scales.

 

 

You could use clear packing tape to laminate the Instruction side to a piece of cardboard. Put the packing tape over the Chord Wheel to laminate it and then cut it out. Put a push pin in the centre of the Wheel and bend it over on the back of the Calculator. The result is somewhat moisture resistant.
